MINING ACT 1992—REGULATION

(Amendments consequent on the commencement of the Mining Act 1992)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Mining Act 1992, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 21st August, 1992.

Amendments

2. The Geological and Mining Museum Regulatbn 1990 is amended:

(a) by omitting the definitions of “the Act”, “Trust” and “trustee” from clause 2 and by inserting instead the following definitions:

“the Act” means the Mining Act 1992;

“Trust” means the Geological and Mining Museum Trust

constituted under Part 16 of the Act;

“trustee” means a trustee appointed to the Trust.

(b) by omitting fiom clause 9 (a) the matter “section 169L” and by inserting instead the matter “’section 352”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to make miscellaneous amendments to the

Geological and Mining Museum Regulation 1990 as a consequence of the repeal of the Mining Act 1973 and the enactment of the Mining Act 1992.
