MINES RESCUE ACT 1925 - REGULATION

(Relating to contributions to rescue stations)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Mines Rescue Act 1925, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Mines Rescue Regulations 1925 are amended:

(a) by inserting after Regulation 54FF the following Regulation: Contribution payable to the Central Mines Rescue Fund - 1990

54GG. The sum payable by the proprietor of a colliery holding, the name of which is specified in Column 1 of Schedule 11, for the year 1990 in accordance with section 6 of the Act is the sum calculated at the rate of the amount specified in Column 2 of that Schedule opposite the name of the colliery holding for each dollar of the land value of the colliery holding.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Mines Rescue Regulations 1925 so as to specify the amount payable for 1990 by the proprietor of a colliery holding to the Mines Rescue Board as a contribution towards the erection, equipment, maintenance and administration of rescue stations.
