MINES RESCUE ACT 1925—REGULATION

(Relating to contributions to Central Mines Rescue Fund)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Mines Rescue Act 1925, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Mines Rescue Regulation 1991 is amended:

(a) by omitting clause 38 (1A) and by inserting instead the following subclause:

(1A) Without limiting the generality of section 30 of the Interpretation Act 1987, the amendment of Schedule 2 (as in force before the commencement of this subclause) does not affect any liability of the proprietor of a colliery holding to pay to the Board any sum that remains payable in respect of 1993 at the levy rate specified in that Schedule before that commencement.

(b) by omitting Schedule 2 and by inserting instead the following Schedule:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to specify the contributions payable for 1994 by the proprietors of colliery holdings to the Central Mines Rescue Fund and to confirm the liability of proprietors for unpaid contributions for 1993.

This Regulation is made under the Mines Rescue Act 1925. including section 6

(in particular. section 6 (2)).
