AN ACT to amend the Mines Regulation Act, 1946.

[Assented to 8th December, 1954.]

RE it enacted, by the Queen's Most Excellent " Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Mines

and citation. Regulation Act Amendment Act (No. 2), 1954.

(2) In this Act the Mines Regulation Act, 1946,

Act No. 54 of 1946,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Mines Regulation Act, 1946-1954.

Subsection (1) of section thirty-one of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word "Mines" in line five the words "and to the Secretary of the mining branch of the body known as the Australian Workers' Union, Westralian Branch, Industrial Union of Workers at Boulder in the State". amended.

Section thirty-six of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words "seven hours twelve minutes" in line five the words "seven and one-half hours".	S.36

Section thirty-seven of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words "seven hours twelve minutes" in lines four and five and lines seven and eight respectively the words "seven and one-half hours".	5.37

Subsection (1) of section thirty-nine of the principal Act is amended by amended.

(a)	substituting for the word "forty" in line three the words "thirty-seven and one- half";
(b)	substituting for the words "seven hours twelve minutes" in line four the words "seven and one-half hours".
