Mines Inspection Act New South Wales

1901—Proclamation

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 1 (2) of the Mines Inspection Act 1901, do, by this my Proclamation, on and from 30 July 1999, exempt from section 46 of that Act each class of mine specified in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Proclamation for the time specified in Column 2 of that Schedule for the class of mine concerned.

A mine at which not more than 5 persons are ordinarily 30 July 1999 to 29 July 2003.

basis) as at 30 July 1999.
A mine that commences operations after 30 July 1999 2 years from the commencement
(irrespective of the number of persons who are ordinarily of operations.
employed at the mine).
Explanatory note

The object of this Proclamation is to exempt from section 46 of the Mines Inspection Act 1901 (which deals with risk management strategies) certain classes of mines for a specified period of time.

This Proclamation is made under section 1 (2) of the Mines Inspection Act 1901.
