Mines Department (Administration) Act 1982, No. 31 591 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as Mines Department (Administration) Act 1982. 2. References to Under Secretary Department of Mines in other Acts, etc. Any reference in any Act, Proclamation, Order in Council, regulation, rule, by-law, ordinance, licence, approval, authority, permit, direction, determination, order, prohibition or other act of executive or administrative authority or in any other document, instrument or writing whatsoever before 21 January 1982 to the Under Secretary, Department of Mines or to the Under Secretary for Mines shall on and from that date be deemed to be, and it is hereby declared always was from that date, a reference to the Director-General, Department of Mines and shall operate and have effect accordingly. 3. Amendments of Acts. The Acts specified in the schedule are amended as and to the extent therein indicated. Each Act as so amended may be cited as indicated in the schedule. SCHEDULE S. 3 Act and Amendment New Citation Mining Act 1968 as subsequently amended In section 21, in subsection (5), omit the words " Under Secretary " and substitute the words " Director-General ". In section 40 omit the words " Under Secretary of the " and substitute the words Director-General,". In section 43c, in provision (c), omit the words " Under Secretary " and substitute the words " Director-General,". Mining Act1968-1982 In section 72, in subsection (2)-- (a) in the note appearing at the beginning thereof, omit the words " Under Secretary " and substitute the words Director - General "; (b) omit the words " Under Secretary " and substitute the words " Director- General ". Miners' Homestead Leases Act 1913-1979 Miners' Homestead Leases In section 20, in the fourth paragraph, I Act 1913-1982 omit the words " Under Secretary " and substitute the words " Director-General ".
