1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Mines and Works Inspection Variation Regulations 2003.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 July 2003.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Schedule 3—delete Schedule 3 and subsitute:

Schedule 3—Fees

1.	Application for a certificate under Schedule 1	$19.50
2.	Each subject for examination for a second-class quarry manager's certificate under Schedule 1	$12.30
3.	Examination in mining law, environment and occupational health and safety law under Schedule 1	$12.30
4.	Issue of a certificate under Schedule 1	$30.25
5.	Issue of a replacement certificate	$19.50

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
