Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) (Mineral Industries) Amendment Regulations 2020

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) (Mineral Industries) Regulations 2019 to provide an extension of time for payment of rent in relation to 30 June 2020.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 124 of the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 23 June 2020.

4Rent on a licence

For regulation 29(1)(a) of the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) (Mineral Industries) Regulations 2019[1] substitute—

"(a)subject to paragraph (ab), within 28 days after 30 June of each year; or

(ab)in relation to 30 June 2020, by 28 January 2021; or".
