3 Mineral Resources (Restricted Areas) Amendment (No. 1) No. 366, 1992 PART 1—PRELIMINARY ˙ Short title 1. This order in council may be cited as the Mineral Resources (Restricted Areas) Amendment Order (No. 1) 1992 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF MINERAL RESOURCES (RESTRICTED AREA 20) ORDER 1992 ˙ Amended order 2. The Mineral Resources (Restricted Area 20) Order 1992 is amended as set out in this Part. ˙ Amendment of s.2 (Definition) 3. Section 2 (definition “Restricted Area 20” )— omit, insert— ‘ “Restricted Area 20” means the land on Block Identification Map, Series B—Townsville, held in the office of the department, within— (a) sub-blocks h, j, k, m, n, o, p, s, t, u, x, y and z, Block 3130; and (b) sub-blocks l, m, q, r, v, w and x, block 3131; and (c) sub-blocks a, b and c, block 3203; that is within the boundaries delineated on Plan No. 20D, held in the office of the department. ’. ˙ Replacement of s.3 (Restriction on grants) 4. Section 3— omit, insert—

Before an application for the grant of— (a) a prospecting permit; or (b) a mining claim; or (c) an exploration permit; or (d) a mineral development licence; or (e) a mining lease; in relation to land within Restricted Area 20 is considered, the application must be referred to the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation ( “CSIRO” ) for its views on the application. ’. ˙ Omission of s.4 (Referral of applications for grants) 5. Section 4— omit. PART 3—AMENDMENT OF MINERAL RESOURCES (RESTRICTED AREA 269) ORDER 1992 ˙ Amended order 6. The Mineral Resources (Restricted Area 269) Order 1992 is amended as set out in this Part. ˙ Amendment of s.2 (Definitions) 7. Section 2 (definition “Restricted Area 269” , after ‘block 2089’)— insert ‘ on Block Identification Map, Series B—Brisbane, held in the office of the department ’.

The Mineral Resources (Restricted Area 275) Order 1992 is amended as set out in this Part. ˙ Amendment of s.3 (Definition) 10. Section 3 (definition “Restricted Area 275” , after ‘Series B’)— insert ‘ —Charleville, held ’. ˙ Replacement of s.5 (What applications are not affected) 11. Section 5— omit, insert— ˙ ‘What applications are not affected ‘5. Section 4 does not affect the grant of a permit, claim, licence or lease mentioned in that section on an application made before this order commenced. ’.

Section 2 (definition “Restricted Area 276” , after ‘Series B’)— insert ‘ —Charleville, held ’. PART 6—AMENDMENT OF MINERAL RESOURCES (RESTRICTED AREA 277) ORDER 1992 ˙ Amended order 14.
