s1 2 s6 Mineral Resources Amendment (No. 2) No. 118, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Mineral Resources Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 1995 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 May 1995. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Mineral Resources Regulation 1990 . ˙ Amendment of s 3.1 (Conditions of prospecting permit) 4. Section 3.1— insert— ‘(g) for unoccupied land—must ensure rubbish and human waste is disposed of in a safe and sanitary way.’. ˙ Insertion of new s 3.3 5. After section 3.2— insert— ˙ ‘ Security for prospecting permits ‘ 3.3 The amount of security a mining registrar fixes for a district prospecting permit must not be less than $1 000.’. ˙ Insertion of new s 7.2A 6. Section 7.2— insert— ˙ ‘ Copies of mining lease applications ‘ 7.2A(1) The mining registrar may give to a person a copy of a mining lease application.
s7 3 s8 Mineral Resources Amendment (No. 2) No. 118, 1995 ‘ (2) However, the mining registrar must not give the person a copy of any statement detailing the financial and technical resources that accompanied the application.’. ˙ Replacement of s 11.8 (Persons to furnish information) 7. Section 11.8— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Giving and publishing information about minerals ‘ 11.8(1) The purpose of this section is to enhance knowledge of the mineral resources of the State. ‘ (2) When requested by the chief executive, a person must give the chief executive information about minerals mined, processed, sold, disposed of or used. Maximum penalty—200 penalty units. ‘ (3) The information must be given in the way and form the chief executive decides. ‘ (4) The chief executive may publish statistics derived from the information in the way the chief executive decides.’. ˙ Amendment of sch 3 (Fees) 8.(1) Schedule 3, part 3— omit, insert— ‘ PART 3—PROSPECTING PERMITS ‘ 1. Application for district prospecting permit—each month 2. Application for parcel prospecting permit . . . . . . . . . . . . 3. Search of register for prospecting permit by the owner of land (2) Schedule 3, part 7, item 17— $ 15.00 15.20 7.60’.

Schedule 6— omit, insert— ‘ SCHEDULE 6 ‘ MINING DISTRICTS section 2.1 of the regulation ‘ PART 1—BRISBANE MINING DISTRICT Land in the following cities, shires and towns— (a) the cities of Brisbane, Bundaberg, Caloundra, Gold Coast, Hervey Bay, Ipswich, Logan, Maryborough, Redcliffe and Toowoomba; (b) the shires of Balonne, Beaudesert, Bendemere, Biggenden, Boonah, Booringa, Bungil, Burnett, Caboolture, Cambooya, Chinchilla, Clifton, Cooloola, Crows Nest, Dalby, Eidsvold, Esk, Gatton, Gayndah, Inglewood, Isis, Jondaryan, Kilcoy, Kilkivan, Kingaroy, Kolan, Laidley, Maroochy, Millmerran, Miriam Vale, Monto, Mundubbera, Murgon, Murilla, Nanango, Noosa, Perry, Pine Rivers, Pittsworth, Redland, Rosalie, Stanthorpe, Tara, Taroom, Tiaro, Waggamba, Wambo, Warroo, Warwick, Wondai and Woocoo; (c) the towns of Goondiwindi and Roma.
s9 5 s9 Mineral Resources Amendment (No. 2) No. 118, 1995 ‘ PART 2—CHARTERS TOWERS MINING DISTRICT Land in the following cities and shires— (a) the cities of Charters Towers, Thuringowa and Townsville; (b) the shires of Bowen, Burdekin, Dalrymple and Hinchinbrook. ‘ PART 3—EMERALD MINING DISTRICT Land in the following city and shires— (a) the city of Mackay; (b) the shires of Bauhinia, Belyando, Broadsound, Emerald, Jericho, Mirani, Nebo, Peak Downs and Sarina. ‘ PART 4—GEORGETOWN MINING DISTRICT Land in the shires of Croydon and Etheridge. ‘ PART 5—MAREEBA MINING DISTRICT Land in the areas of the following local governments— (a) the city of Cairns; (b) the shires of Atherton, Aurukun, Cardwell, Cook, Douglas, Eacham, Herberton, Johnstone, Mareeba and Torres; (c) the Town Commission of Weipa.
s9 6 s9 Mineral Resources Amendment (No. 2) No. 118, 1995 ‘ PART 6—MOUNT ISA MINING DISTRICT Land in the following city and shires— (a) the city of Mount Isa; (b) the shires of Boulia, Burke, Carpentaria, Cloncurry, Flinders, McKinlay, Mornington and Richmond. ‘ PART 7—QUILPIE MINING DISTRICT Land in the shires of Bulloo, Murweh, Paroo and Quilpie. ‘ PART 8—ROCKHAMPTON MINING DISTRICT Land in the following cities and shires— (a) the cities of Gladstone and Rockhampton; (b) the shires of Banana, Calliope, Duaringa, Fitzroy, Livingstone and Mount Morgan. ‘ PART 9—WINTON MINING DISTRICT Land in the shires of Aramac, Barcaldine, Barcoo, Blackall, Diamantina, Ilfracombe, Isisford, Longreach, Tambo and Winton.’.
7 Mineral Resources Amendment (No. 2) No. 118, 1995 ¡ SCHEDULE MINOR AMENDMENTS section 3 of the regulation 1. Section 11.15, ‘the Department of Resource Industries’— omit, insert— ‘the department’. 2.
