s1 2 s6 Mineral Resources Amendment (No. 1) No. 16, 1995 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Mineral Resources Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1995 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 February 1995. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Mineral Resources Regulation 1990 . ˙ Amendment of s 1.4 (Definition) 4. Section 1.4, definition “designated area” — omit, insert— ‘ “designated fossicking land” has the meaning given by the FossickingAct 1994 .’. ˙ Amendment of s 4.9 (Area of mining claim land) 5. Section 4.9, ‘land in a designated area or restricted area’— omit, insert— ‘specified land’. ˙ Amendment of Sch 5 (Restricted Areas) 6.(1) Schedule 5, Part 2, Restricted area 1, section 2— insert— ‘ (1A) Restriction 1(5) also applies to designated fossicking land and other land within the boundaries shown on the following plans— (a) Plan No. 34341 (Rubyvale designated fossicking land); (b) Plan No. 34342 (Reward designated fossicking land); (c) Plan No. 34343 (Sapphire designated fossicking land);

(3) Schedule 5, Part 2, Restricted area 1, section 2(3)(a)(i), after ‘34340’— insert— ‘(Scrub Lead designated fossicking land)’. ˙ Amendment of Sch 7 (Area of mining claim land) 7.(1) Schedule 7, Part 1, items 1 to 5, ‘designated area’— omit, insert— ‘designated fossicking land’. (2) Schedule 7, Part 1— insert— ‘ 6. Land within the boundaries of designated fossicking land mentioned in items 1 to 5, but not part of the designated fossicking land—900 m 2 .’. ENDNOTES 1.
