AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Milk Authority Ordinance 1971-1973.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under

the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1973.

MILK AUTHORITY ORDINANCE 1974

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Milk Authority Ordin­

ance 1974.*

(2) The Milk Authority Ordinance 1971-1973f is in this

Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Milk Authority Ordinance 1971-1974.

2. Section 16 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed and the follow­

ing section substituted:—

" 1 6 . (1) Subject to sub-section ( 2 ) , the functions of the Authority are, in accordance with but subject to this Ordinance, to regulate and control the supply, sale and distribution of milk in the Territory.

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

" (2) For the purpose of sub-section ( 1 ) , regulation of the sale of milk does not include regulation of the prices at which milk may be sold or the charges that may be made in connexion with the sale of milk.".

3. Sections 34A and 34B of the Principal Ordinance are repealed.
