AN ACT to amend the Milk Act, 19464963.

[Assented to 2nd October, 1964.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Milk Act

2. Section twenty-seven of the principal Act is

repealed and

repealed and re-enacted as follows

27. (1) The Board may by notice published V= g

in the Government Gazette prescribe that before

cream

any milk or cream is delivered for sale by any glitsvaeolof:rs,

etc, to be

person—

pasteurised.

(a)

to householders in any district specified sir.i61.e "sale"

in the notice, the milk or cream

(i)    shall be pasteurised in conform- ity with the provisions of the regulations for the time being in force, relating to pasteurised milk or cream; and

(ii)    shall be bottled and sealed or placed in a carton or other container and sealed in con- formity with the provisions of the regulations for the time being in force; and

(b)

for human consumption to persons, other than householders, in any district specified in the notice, the milk or cream shall be pasteurised in conformity with the provisions of the regulations, for the time being in force, relating to pasteurised milk or cream.

(2)

Any notice made pursuant to this section takes effect as from the date specified in the notice and may be cancelled or from time to time varied by subsequent notice.

(3) A person who fails to comply with the requirements of a notice made pursuant to this section commits an offence.

Penalty: Fifty pounds. .
