Military Superannuation and Benefits Declaration No. 7

I, BRONWYN KATHLEEN BISHOP, Minister for Defence Industry, Science and Personnel, make the following Declaration under the Military Superannuation and Benefits Act 1991.

Citation

1.   This Declaration may be cited as Military Superannuation and Benefits Declaration No. 7.

ss. 46A and 48.]

Interpretation

2.   In this Declaration:

“Act” means the Military Superannuation and Benefits Act 1991.

Revocation

3.   Military Superannuation and Benefits Declaration No. 6 (Statutory Rules 1996 No. 169) is revoked.

[NOTE: Military Superannuation and Benefits Declaration No. 6 commenced on 31 July 1996.]

Eligible members

4.   For paragraph (f) of the definition of “eligible member” in subsection 30 (1) of the Act, the following persons are eligible members:

(a)   P. A. Fookes, Captain, Service No. 2127343;

(b)   K. L. Sestero, Corporal, Service No. W129339;

(c)   a person who, on or after 31 July 1996, is included in an employment category mentioned in Part 1 of the Schedule;

(d)   a person who:

(i)   is included in an employment category mentioned in Part 2 of the Schedule; and

(ii)   on or after 31 July 1996 and immediately before the day on which this Declaration commences, was included in that employment category.
