Part 1—Preliminary

1  Name

This instrument is the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation (Pay-related Allowances) Determination 2017.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under subsection 11(1) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.

5  Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.

section 58B determination allowance means an allowance paid under a determination made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

section 58H determination allowance means an allowance paid under a determination made under section 58H of the Defence Act 1903.

Part 2—Pay‑related allowances

  1. Pay‑related allowances—section 58B determination allowances

For the purposes of subsection 11(1) of the Act, a section 58B determination allowance specified in column 1 of an item in the following table is a pay‑related allowance for the purposes of the Act:

(a)  from the start of the day specified in column 2 of the item; and

(b)  if another day is specified in column 3 of the item—until the end of that other day.
