I, BRUCE BILLSON, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, make this Determination under subsection 11 (1) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004.

1 Name of Determination
This Determination is the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation (Pay-related Allowances) Determination 2006 (No. 2).
2 Commencement
This Determination is taken to have commenced as follows:
(a) on 1 July 2004 — sections 1 and 2, subsection 3 (1) and Part 1 of Schedule 1;
(b) on 2 December 2004 — sections 1 and 2, subsection 3 (2) and Part 2 of Schedule 1;
(c) on 31 May 2005 — subsection 3 (3) and Part 3 of Schedule 1;
(d) on 1 September 2005 — subsection 3 (4) and Part 4 of Schedule 1;
(e) on 20 February 2006 — subsection 3 (5) and Part 5 of Schedule 1;
(f) on 9 March 2006 — subsection 3 (6) and Part 6 of Schedule 1;
(g) on 20 April 2006 — subsection 3 (7) and Part 7 of Schedule 1;
(h) on 12 June 2006 — subsection 3 (8) and Part 8 of Schedule 1;
(i) on 6 November 2006 — subsection 3 (9) and Part 9 of Schedule 1.
3 Pay‑related allowances
(1) For subsection 11 (1) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004, allowances specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 are pay‑related allowances for the purposes of that Act.
Note As required by subsection 11 (1) of the Act, the allowances are paid under a determination made under section 58B or 58H of the Defence Act 1903. The determinations that created the allowances are listed in Part 1 of Schedule 1 for information.
(2) For subsection 11 (1) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004, the allowance specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 is a pay‑related allowances for the purposes of that Act.
Note As required by subsection 11 (1) of the Act, the allowances are paid under a determination made under section 58B or 58H of the Defence Act 1903. The determinations that created the allowances are listed in Part 2 of Schedule 1 for information.
(3) For subsection 11 (1) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004, the allowances specified in Part 3 of Schedule 1 are pay‑related allowances for the purposes of that Act.
