HEREAS Her Majesty's Imperial Government ha& required Prcambb.

W cach of the Australian Colonies to contribute towards the

cost of Her Mnjcsty's troops in proportion to the number of men

therein respectively stationed-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor-in-Chief of' the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. There shall be payable, for the year ending the thiwtieth day A e m not exceeding

of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, to Her Majesty, ~

Her heirs and successors, out of the General Revenue of the said qfwarrante,

Province, a sum not cxkeding the sum of Six Thousand Eight

Hundred and Eighty Pounds, for the purpose of contributing towards

the cost of Iler Majesty's troops on service in the said Province:

Provided that payment shall be made monthly, at the rate of Forty

Pounds per annum for each man only who shall be on service when

the usual monthly return is made of officers and soldiers of Her

Majesty's Infantry on service in the said Province.

In the name and on behalf of the Queen I hereby assent to

this Act.
