A.D. 1863.

An Act to authorize Payments to Be made to the Imperial Governmetit, as a contribution towards the cost of the Military stationed in Sow% Australia for the yeam ending the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, and the thirtieth day of $me, one thousand eight hundred and six&$ve.

HEIiEAS Her Majesty's Imperial Government have required Preamble.

W each of the Australian Colonies to contribute towards the

cost of Her Majesty's troops in proportion to the number of men

therein respectively stationed -Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. There shall be payable for the year ending the thirtieth day A mm not exceeding

$6 880 ta be paid by

of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, to Her Majesty,

Her heirs and successors, out of the General Revenue of the said warrant^^. the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-

Province, a sum not exceeding the sum of Six Thousand Eight

five for the purpose of contributing towards the cost of Her

Majesty's troops on service in the said Province: Provided that pay- ment shall be made monthly, at the rate of Forty Paunds per annum for each man only who shall be on service when the usual monthly

return is made of offcers and soldiers of Her Majesty's Infantry on '

service in the said Province.

Tn the name and on behalf of the Queen I hereby assent to

this Act.
