HEREAS Her Majesty's Imperial Government have required Preamtb.

W each of the Australian Colonies to contribute towards the

cost of Her Majesty's troops in proportion to the number of men

therein respectively stationed-Be i t therefore Enacted, by the

Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

eight to Her Majesty, Her heirs and successors, out of the General Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Pounds, for the purpose of contributing towards the cost of Her Majesty's troops on service in the said Province: Provided that payment shall be made quarterly, at the rate of Forty Pounds per annum for each man only who shall be on service when the usual quarterly return is made of officers and fioldiers of Her Majesty's Infantry on service in the said Province.
