PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903 should come into immediate operation, and makethe Regulations to come into operation forthwith, as Provisional Regulations.

Addition to the Regulations for the Military Forces of the Commonwealth, 1904.

part xiv.

Australian Army Ordnance Department.—Arms, Equipment, Stores, &c.

After paragraph 110, the following new paragraph is added:—

110a. District Commandants may, in special cases, vary the allowance of ammunition prescribed in paragraph 110, by increasing the allowance of miniature ammunition, and correspondingly decreasing the prescribed allowance of ·303” ammunition by an amount equal in value to the increased allowance of miniature ammunition.
