STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACTS 1903–4.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Acts 1903–4, to comeinto operation on the first day of July, 1906.

Regulations for the Military Forces, 1905.
At the end of paragraph 57 add—
“An officer appointed as 2nd Lieutenant will be required to complete a period of twelve months’ service in that rank, and may then, if he has passed the prescribed examinations, and is recommended by his Commanding Officer and the District Commandant, be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.”
Paragraph 130, in the fifth and sixth lines—
For “except those officers,” read “except officers of the Australian Army Medical Corps and those officers.”
In paragraph 216, after figures “209” add “214.”
