1. Regulation 12 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (12.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

Rates of travelling allowance.

2.—(1.) Regulation 99 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

(2.) Regulation 99 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (2.), after the words “or to a”, the words “General or”.

(3.) The rates of travelling allowance specified in the table in sub-regulation (1.) of regulation 99 of the Military Financial Regulations as amended by sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation apply to travelling allowance payable in respect of the fourteenth day of February, 1969, or any subsequent day.

3.—(1.) Regulation 101 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (2.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(2.) The last preceding sub-regulation does not apply to a member in respect of a period if, but for that sub-regulation, the member would be entitled to travelling allowance in respect of the period—

(a)in accordance with sub-regulation (2.) of regulation 99 of these Regulations; or

(b)in accordance with an approval of the Military Board under sub-regulation (4.) of regulation 99 of these Regulations.”.

(2.) Regulation 101 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

Meal allowance.

4.—(1.) Regulation 107 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (2.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(2.) The rate of meal allowance is—

(a)in the case of breakfast—One dollar;

(b)in the case of midday meal—One dollar ten cents; and

(c) in the case of evening meal—One dollar forty-five cents.”.

(2.) The rates of meal allowance specified in sub-regulation (2.) of regulation 107 of the Military Financial Regulations as amended by the last preceding sub-regulation apply to meal allowance payable in respect of a meal on the fourteenth day of February, 1969, or any subsequent day.

5. Regulation 226 of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Officers of Cadets— separation allowance.

“226.—(1.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation and to such conditions as are approved by the Military Board, an allowance, called ‘separation allowance’, is payable at the rate of Seventy cents per day to an officer of cadets in respect of an attendance at a camp of continuous training or at a military school or course.

“(2.) Separation allowance is not payable to an officer of cadets in respect of an attendance at a camp of continuous training, or at a military school or course—

(a)unless that attendance involves the officer of cadets being absent from his home for a period of not less than ten consecutive days, being a period that includes at least two Saturdays and two Sundays; and

(b)
