Military Financial Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1970.*

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive
Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the

Amendments of the Military Financial Regulations
(a) by omitting sub-regulations (5c) and (5d) and substituting the following sub-regulation:—
“ (5c) Higher duties allowance is payable to a member in respect of a period of absence on recreation leave if—
(a) he was in receipt of higher duties allowance in respect of the relevant day; and
(b) his Commanding Officer has certified that he would have continued to perform duties in respect of which higher duties allowance would have been payable but for that absence.”; and
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (5f) the words “ sub-regulations (5c) and (5d) of this regulation ” and substituting the words “ sub-regulation (5c) ”.

“ (2) The rates at which meal allowance is payable to a member are—
(a) for breakfast—One dollar thirty-five cents;
(b) for a mid-day meal—One dollar fifty cents; and
(c) for an evening meal—Two dollars ten cents.”.
(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (2) the words “ One thousand four hundred and forty-five dollars ” and substituting the words “ One thousand five hundred and sixty dollars ”; and
(b) by omitting from paragraphs (b) and (c) of that sub-regulation the words “ Two hundred and twenty-six dollars sixty-seven cents ” and substituting the words “ Two hundred and fifty dollars ”.
(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (2) the words “ One thousand four hundred and forty-five dollars ” and substituting the words “ One thousand five hundred and sixty dollars ”; and
(b) by omitting from paragraphs (b) and (c) of that sub-regulation the words “ Two hundred and twenty-six dollars sixty-seven cents ” and substituting the words “ Two hundred and fifty dollars ”.
