REGULATION UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 19031

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903.

AMENDMENTS OF THE MILITARY FINANCIAL REGULATIONS2

Meal allowance

Regulation 107 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting after sub-regulation (1) the following sub-regulation:

“(1a) Where a member who is living out travels on duty on a day and he is not entitled to be paid amounts by way of meal allowance for breakfast and dinner on that day, he is not entitled to the payment of an amount by way of meal allowance for lunch on that day, although otherwise entitled to it under sub-regulation (1).”; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (4) “Sub-regulation 98 (8) applies” and substituting “Sub-regulations 98 (8) and (9) apply”.
