Military Financial Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES acting for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Defence, hereby make the following Interim Determination under section 12 of the Defence Amendment Act 1979.

Linguists bounty

1. Regulation 38 of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed.

2. Regulation 183 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (7) the definition of “approved foreign language” and substituting the following definition:

“approved foreign language” means a language referred to in clause 4 of Determination 0704, Language Proficiency Allowance, made under section 58bof the Defence Act 1903;”.

Application

3. This Interim Determination shall take effect on the date on which Determination 0704. Language Proficiency Allowance, is made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903.
