Financial Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, THE
MINISTER OF STATE FOR AVIATION, acting for and on behalf of the Minister of
State for Defence, hereby make the following Interim Determination under
section 12 of the Defence Amendment Act
1979.

Repeal
1. Regulations 158, 166
and 168 of the Military Financial Regulations are repealed.
Continuation
of oversea living allowance after return of certain members to Australia
2. Regulation 162 of the
Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (d) of
sub-regulation (1) “,157 or 158” and substituting “or 157”.
Continuation
of allowances while on leave oversea
3. Regulation 162a of the Military Financial Regulations
is amended by omitting “and child allowance (if appropriate)”.
Members
of different ranks jointly maintaining a home
4. Regulation 169a of the Military Financial Regulations
is amended by omitting “or 166”.
Members
of like rank jointly maintaining a home
5. Regulation 169b of the Military Financial Regulations
is amended by omitting “or 166”.
Member
married to a member of the Navy or the Air Force
6. Regulations 169c and 169e
of the Military Financial Regulations are amended by omitting “or 166” wherever
occurring.
Application
7. This Interim
Determination shall take effect on the day on which Determination 3724, Child
Allowance, is made under section 58b
of the Defence Act 1903.
