Military Financial Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AVIATION acting for and on behalf of the Minister of State for Defence, hereby make the following Interim Determination under section 12 of the Defence Amendment Act 1979.

Definitions

1. Regulation 96 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of “capital city”.

Repeal

2. Regulations 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102 and 103 of the Military Financial Regulations are repealed.

Meal allowance

3. Regulation 107 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (3) “sub-regulation 98 (7)” and substituting “clause 14 of Determination 0401, Travelling Allowance, made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903”; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (4) “Sub-regulations 98 (8) and (9)” and substituting “Clauses 15 and 16 of Determination 0401, Travelling Allowance, made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903”.

Vehicle allowance

4. Regulation 108 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulations (3) and (4) “this Division” (wherever occurring) and substituting “Determination 0401, Travelling Allowance, made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903”.

Travel on duty

5. Regulation 212 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (2).

Allowances

6. Regulation 222 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “duties, travelling allowance, meal allowance and vehicle allowance” and substituting the following word and paragraphs:

“duties—

(a) Travelling Allowance in accordance with Determination 0401, Travelling Allowance, made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903;

(b) meal allowance; and

(c) vehicle allowance,”; and

(b) by inserting after “these Regulations” in sub-regulation (2) “or a Determination made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1 903”.

Application

7. This Interim Determination shall take effect on the day on which Determination 0401, Travelling Allowance, is made under section 58b of the Defence Act 1903.
