Military Financial Regulations2(Amendment)

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903.

Commencement

 1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 3 July 1985.

Interpretation

 2. Regulation 5 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the definition of “proper military authority”.

Pay and allowances when absent on account of illness or injury caused by own offence

 3. Regulation 17 of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed.

Pay and advances against pay where pay forfeited or pay overdrawn

 4. Regulation 18 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended—

  • (a)

    by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) “or stopped”; and

  • (b)

    by omitting from sub-paragraph (1) (b) (i)”, or stopped from the salary of,”.

Repeal of Part V

 5. Part V of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed.

Repeal of regulation 241

 6. Regulation 241 of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed.

Repeal of regulation 266

 7. Regulation 266 of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed.

Repeal of regulation 273A

 8. Regulation 273A of the Military Financial Regulations is repealed.
