1944. No. 110.

REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1941.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1941.

Amendments of the Military Financial Regulations. 

1. After regulation 27 of the Military Financial Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—

Chief of the General Staff.

“27a. The rate of pay for an officer who holds the appointment of Chief of the General Staff shall be One thousand five hundred pounds per annum and, in addition, an allowance of Five hundred pounds per annum”.

Higher Appointments.

2. Regulation 28 of the Military Financial Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (i) the words and figures —“Chief of the General Staff ……….1,500”; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulation (ii).
