REGULATIONS UNDER THE
DEFENCE ACT 1903-1956.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulations under the Defence Act
1903-1956.

AMENDMENTS OF THE
MILITARY FINANCIAL REGULATIONS.

1. Regulation 11 of the
Military Financial Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (14B.)
the following sub-regulation:—
“(14C.)
Sub-regulation (14A.) of this regulation does not apply to a rate of pay
payable in accordance with Part B of Table 1 or Table 5, and the last preceding
regulation does not apply to a rate of pay payable in accordance with Part B of
Table 8.”.
The Second
Schedule.
2.The Second Schedule to
the Military Financial Regulations is amended—
(a)
by omitting from Table 1 the letter and word—
“A—Officers.”
and inserting in their stead the words—
“Part A—Officers.”;

Application.
3.—(1.) This regulation
applies in a case where a member has received or is entitled to receive pay in
accordance with Part B of Table 1, Table 5 or Part B of Table 8 in the Second
Schedule to the Military Financial Regulations in respect of a day in the period
from and including the third day of May, 1963, to and including the day
immediately preceding the commencement of these Regulations.
(2.) The rate of pay applicable under the Military
Financial Regulations during the period referred to in the last preceding
sub-regulation shall, in a case to which this regulation applies, be increased
by an amount equal to the amount by which that rate is less than the rate of
pay that would have been applicable if the amendments made by these Regulations
had taken effect on the third day of May, 1963.
