SPECIFICATION OF UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTIONS
(REGULATION 4 DEFINITION OF ‘RESOLUTION’)
I, CHRIS BOWEN, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under regulation 4, definition of ‘resolution’, in the Migration (United Nations Security Council Resolutions) Regulations 2007 (‘the Regulations’):
1. REVOKE Instrument number IMMI 10/048 signed on 12 August 2010; and
2. SPECIFY the following resolutions and every person named in accordance with each of those resolutions to be a UNSC-designated person for the purposes of regulation 5 of the Regulations:
·United Nations Security Council Resolution 1718 (2006) concerning the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, adopted on 14 October 2006.
·United Nations Security Council Resolution 1267 (1999) concerning Al-Qaida and the Taliban and associated individuals and entities, adopted on

[NOTE 1: Regulation 4 of the Regulations provides that ‘resolution’ means a United Nations Security Council Resolution specified by the Minister, by legislative instrument.
NOTE 2: Regulation 4 of the Regulations provides that ‘UNSC-designated person’ is defined in Regulation 5.
NOTE 3: Regulation 5 of the Regulations provides that a person is a ‘UNSC-designated person’ if, under a resolution, Australia is required to prevent the person entering or transiting through Australian territory.
