I, Alison Garrod, delegate of the Minister for Home Affairs, make this instrument under subregulation 2.07(5) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations).

This instrument is the Migration (Temporary Activity (Class GG) Visa and Visitor (Class FA) Visa) Specified Class of Persons (Virtus Oceania Asia Games) Instrument 2022.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.
3Temporary Activity (Class GG) Visa
For the purposes of subparagraph 1237(2)(a)(i) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, an applicant for a Temporary Activity (Class GG) visa is in a class of persons specified if:
(a) the applicant seeks to satisfy the criteria for a Subclass 408 (Temporary Activity) visa in Division 408.2 of Schedule 2 to the Regulations; and
(b) clause 408.221 of Schedule 2 (Invited participant in an event) to the Regulations applies to the applicant; and
(c) the applicant provides and is listed on an ‘Official Letter of Invitation’ to the Virtus Oceania Asia Games — Brisbane 2022 issued by the Oceania Asia Games 2022 Organising Committee or Sports Inclusion Australia.
4 Visitor (Class FA) Visa
For the purposes of subparagraph 1236(2)(a)(iv) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, an applicant for a Visitor (Class FA) visa is in a class of persons specified if:
(a) the applicant is outside of Australia at the time of the application; and
(b) the application is made between the commencement of this instrument and 11 November 2022; and
(c) the applicant seeks to satisfy the criteria for a Subclass 600 (Visitor) visa in Schedule 2 to the Regulations; and
(d) the applicant provides and is listed on an ‘Official Letter of Invitation’ to the Virtus Oceania Asia Games — Brisbane 2022 issued by the Oceania Asia Games 2022 Organising Committee or Sports Inclusion Australia.
5 Repeal
This instrument is repealed on 12 November 2022.
