Migration Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1958.

1. Amendment

1.1 The Migration Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

2. Regulation 119f (Lebanese (temporary) entry permit)

2.1 Paragraph 119f (1) (b):

Omit “July”, substitute “October”.

2.2 After paragraph 119f (1) (d), add:

“(e) the applicant was not arrested under section 92 or 93 of the Act after 31 October 1990 and before lodgement of the application.”.

2.3 Paragraph 119f (2) (b):

Omit “31 October 1990;”, substitute “30 June 1991;”.

3. Regulation 119g (Sri Lankan (temporary) entry permit)

3.1 Paragraph 119g (1) (b):

Omit “July”, substitute “October”.

3.2 After paragraph 119g (1) (d), add:

“(e) the applicant was not arrested under section 92 or 93 of the Act after 31 October 1990 and before lodgement of the application.”.

3.3 Paragraph 119g (2) (b):

Omit “31 October 1990;”, substitute “30 June 1991;”.
