Migration Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1948.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 September 1986.

2. Regulation 29c of the Migration Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Fee for language test

“29c. The fee payable for undertaking an English language test conducted by or on behalf of the Department, whether or not in connection with an application for an entry permit or visa, is—

(a) where the test is conducted outside Australia—$35; or

(b) where the test is conducted in Australia—$60.”

3. The Migration Regulations are amended as set out in the Schedule.
