Migration Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1958.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 November 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Migration Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 2.08B (Addition of dependent children to certain applications for temporary visas)

3.1   Paragraph 2.08B (1) (da):

Omit “the visa applied for by the original applicant is a Resolution of Status (Temporary) (Class UH) visa and”, substitute “where the visa applied for by the original applicant is a Resolution of Status (Temporary) (Class UH) visa,”.

 

4.   Schedule 2, Part 805 (Skilled)

4.1   Subparagraph 805.211 (2) (b) (iii):

Omit “visa; or”, substitute “visa.”.

 

4.2   Subparagraph 805.211 (2) (b) (iv):

Omit the subparagraph.

 

4.3   Paragraph 805.212 (2A) (b):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

  • “(b)

    a Subclass 457 (Business (Long Stay)) visa; or”.
