Migration Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1958.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on 1 September 1989.

Principal Regulations

2.In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Migration Regulations.

Fees for entry permits

3. Regulation 29a of the Principal Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) “$315” and substituting “$340”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (1aa) (d) “$300” and substituting “$340”.

Fee for non-citizen conditional entry or entry visa

4. Regulation 29ab of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from subregulation (2) “$200” and substituting “$215”.

Second application—entry permit or further temporary entry permit

5. Regulation 29b of the Principal Regulations is amended:

(a) by omitting from the definition of “temporary resident” in subregulation (1) “6 (4) (c)” and substituting “6a (4) (c)”;

(b) by inserting after each of paragraphs (2) (a) and (2) (b) “and”.

Service of documents

6. Regulation 30 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from subregulation (5) “sub-section 48 (1), 51 (1), or 52 (1)” and substituting “subsection 48 (1) or 51 (1) or section 52”.
