REGULATIONS
UNDER THE MIGRATION ACT 1958.*
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of
the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Migration Act 1958.

Amendments
of the Migration Regulations
Effect of maintenance guarantees.
1. Regulation 22 of the Migration Regulations is amended by omitting
from sub-regulation (3) the words “ Social Services ” and substituting the
words “ Social Security ”.
Control of immigrant centres.
2. Regulation 24 of the Migration Regulations is amended by omitting
from sub-regulation (2) the word “ Immigration ” and substituting the words “ Immigration
and Ethnic Affairs ”.
Service of documents.
3. Regulation 30 of the Migration Regulations is amended by omitting
from sub-regulation (6) the word “ Immigration ” and substituting the words “ Immigration
and Ethnic Affairs ”.
Schedule.
4. The Schedule to the Migration Regulations is amended by omitting
from Form 2 the words “ Department of Immigration ” and substituting the
words “ Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs ”.
