SPECIFIED WORK AND HOLIDAY VISA APPLICANTS EXCLUDED FROM REQUIRMENT TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF GOVERNMENT SUPPORT
(SUBPARAGRAPH 1224A(3)(b)(iii))
I, TERESA GAMBARO, Assistant Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under subparagraph 1224A(3)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
1. SPECIFY for the purposes of subparagraph 1224A(3)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations that persons who hold a passport issued by the United States of America are a class of persons who do not have to provide evidence of government support for the grant of the visa

[NOTE 1: Subparagraph 1224A(3)(b)(iii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations provides that unless the applicant is a member of a class of persons specified by the Minister by an instrument in writing, the applicant must provide evidence that they have support for the grant of the visa from the government of the foreign country mentioned in paragraph 1224A(3)(a).]
