SPECIFICATION OF POST OFFICE BOX ADDRESS AND ADDRESS FOR COURIER DELIVERY FOR THE PURPOSES OF PARAGRAPHS 1112(3)(a), 1113(3)(aa), 1115(3)(aa) AND 1118(3)(a) OF THE MIGRATION REGULATIONS 1994

I, PETER McGAURAN, Acting Minister for Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, acting under regulation 1.17 and paragraphs 1112(3)(a), 1113(3)(aa), 1115(3)(aa) and 1118(3)(a) of the Migration Regulations 1994 ("the Regulations"):

1. REVOKE the Gazette Notice signed on 10 October 2003, made for the purposes of paragraphs 1112(3)(a), 1113(3)(aa), 1115(3)(aa) AND 1118(3)(a) of the Regulations; AND

1. SPECIFY the following address as the post office box address for the purposes of subparagraphs 1112(3)(a)(i), 1113(3)(aa)(i), 1115(3)(aa)(i) and 1118(3)(a)(i):

[NOTE 1:   Regulation 1.17 provides that the Minister may, by notice published in the Gazette, specify matters required by individual provisions of the Regulations to be specified for the purposes of those provisions.

NOTE 2:    Paragraphs 1112(3)(a), 1113(3)(aa) and 1118(3)(a) provide that applications must be made by posting the application (with the correct pre-paid postage) to the post office box address specified in a Gazette Notice, or by having the application delivered by a courier service to the address specified in a Gazette Notice.

NOTE 3:    Paragraph 1115(3)(aa) provides that an application by a person seeking to satisfy the criteria for the grant of a Subclass 832 (Close Ties) visa must be made by posting the application (with the correct pre-paid postage) to the post office box address specified in a Gazette Notice, or by having the application delivered by a courier service to the address specified in a Gazette Notice.]
