ORGANISATIONS THAT MAY SPONSOR SHORT STAY BUSINESS VISITORS
(REGULATION 459.214(c))
I, CHRIS EVANS, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under paragraph 459.214(c) of Schedule 2 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
REVOKE Instrument number IMMI 07/051, signed on 23 July 2007, specifying organisations for the purpose of paragraph 459.214(c) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations; and
SPECIFY, for the purpose of paragraph 459.214(c) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations, the organisations listed in the Schedule to this Instrument.
This Instrument, IMMI 08/037, commences on 9 August 2008.

[NOTE 1: Paragraph 459.214(c) of Schedule 2 to the Regulations relevantly provides an applicant may be sponsored by an organisation specified in a Gazette Notice for the purposes of that paragraph.
NOTE 2: Section 56 of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003 provides that, in certain circumstances, registration of a legislative instrument on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments replaces the requirement that a notice be published in the Gazette.]
