SPECIFICATION OF ORGANISATIONS FOR THE PURPOSES OF PARAGRAPH 459.214(c) OF THE MIGRATION REGULATIONS 1994

I, JOHN COBB, Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, acting under regulation 1.17 and paragraph 459.214(c) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):

1. REVOKE the Instruments signed on 9 June 2004 and 5 May 2005 specifying organisations for the purposes of paragraph 459.214(c) of the Regulations; AND

2. SPECIFY, for the purposes of paragraph 459.214(c) of the Regulations, the following organisations:

   ·    Australian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc

   ·    Australian Biotech Investments Pty Ltd (trading as the Australia-China Developments Centre)

   ·    Burrup Fertilisers Pty Ltd

   ·    Business SA

   ·    Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia

   ·    Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory

   ·    China Chamber of Commerce in Australia

   ·    Commerce Queensland

   ·    Confederation of ACT Industry (trading as ACT and Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry)

   ·    Council for International Trade and Commerce South Australia Inc

   ·    Electro Chemical Engineering Pty Ltd (trading as ECEFast)

   ·    Global Art Projects Pty Ltd

This Instrument has effect from the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

NOTE 2: Paragraph 459.214(c) of the Regulations relevantly provides an applicant may be sponsored by an organisation specified in a Gazette Notice for the purposes of that paragraph].
