ARRANGEMENTS FOR E-VISITOR AND SUBCLASS 676 APPLICATIONS

(Items 1218 and 1218AA)

I, MICHAELIA CASH, Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, acting under subregulation 2.07(5) of the Migration Regulations 1994 (the Regulations) for the purposes of items 1218 and 1218AA of Schedule 1 to the Regulations:

1. REVOKE Instrument number IMMI 13/074 (F2013L00959) signed on 7 June 2013 specifying classes of persons for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(ii); AND

1. SPECIFY the following class of persons for the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(ii):

   (a)    Persons who hold a passport issued by a country specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this instrument and subject to the conditions (if any) specified in column 3 of the Schedule; and

   (b)   who make their application through the services of an agent who is party to an agreement with Immigration to use an Internet facility for offshore tourist visa applications; AND

2. SPECIFY the following approved form number for subitem 1218AA(1) and the following manner for making an application for subitem 1218AA(aa):

[Note: paragraph 1218AA(3)(a) provides that an applicant must be outside Australia].

SCHEDULE

For the purposes of subparagraph 1218(1)(b)(ii) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations: the class of persons are those persons who hold a passport issued by a country specified in column 2 of this Schedule and subject to the conditions specified in column 3 of this Schedule and who make their application through the services of an agent who is party to an agreement with Immigration to use an Internet facility for offshore tourist visa applications.
