ADDRESSES FOR TRADE SKILLS TRAINING SPONSOR AND VISA APPLICATIONS

(REGULATIONS 1.20UK(4) AND 1220B(3)(e))

I, JOHN COBB, Acting Minister for Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, acting under regulation 1.17, subregulation 1.20UK(4) and paragraph 1220B(3)(e) of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):

1.         SPECIFY the following address as the post office box address for the purposes of paragraph 1.20UK(4)(a) and subparagraph 1220B(3)(e)(i):

[NOTE 1:          Regulation 1.17 provides that the Minister may, by notice published in the Gazette, specify matters required by individual provisions of the Regulations to be specified for the purposes of those provisions.

NOTE 2:            Subregulation 1.20UK(4) provides that applications to become an approved trade skills training sponsor  must be made by posting the application to the post office box address specified in a Gazette Notice, having the application delivered by a courier service to the address specified in a Gazette Notice or having the application sent by facsimile to the address specified in a Gazette Notice.

NOTE 3:            Paragraph 1220B(3)(e) provides that applications by a person seeking to satisfy the criteria for the grant of a Subclass 471 (Trade Skills Training) visa must be made by posting the application to the post office box address specified in a Gazette Notice, having the application delivered by a courier service to the address specified in a Gazette Notice or having the application sent by facsimile to the address specified in a Gazette Notice.]
