CLASS OF PERSONS

(SUBPARAGRAPH 1223A(2)(a)(ix))

I, CHRIS BOWEN, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’) SPECIFY as a class of persons for the purposes of sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) each person applying for a subclass 456 (Business (Short Stay)) visa must hold a kind of passport specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this Instrument and satisfy the conditions in column 3 of the Schedule to this Instrument, for passports of that kind.

This Instrument, IMMI 12/112 commences on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

[NOTE 1: Sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) of the Regulations provides that an applicant who is in a class of persons specified in an instrument in writing will have a nil Visa Application Charge.

NOTE 2:       The Minister has also specified a class of persons in Instrument IMMI 12/074 (for the purposes of sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix).]

12	Hungary	Passport must indicate that the applicant is a national of Hungary
13	Republic of Ireland	Passport must indicate that the applicant is a national of the Republic of Ireland
14	Italy	Passport must indicate that the applicant is a national of Italy
15	Latvia	Passport must indicate that the applicant is a national of Latvia
