CLASS OF PERSONS

(SUB-SUBPARAGRAPH 1223A(2)(a)(ix))

I, CHRIS EVANS, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):

1. REVOKE Instrument Number IMMI 07/035 signed on 24 June 2007 specifying classes of persons for the purposes of sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; AND

1. SPECIFY as a class of persons for the purposes of sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, each person applying for a subclass of a visa specified in column 4 in the schedule holding the kind of passport specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this Instrument, subject to satisfying the conditions, if any, in column 3 for passports of that kind.

This Instrument, IMMI 08/058 commences on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

[NOTE: Sub-subparagraph 1223A(2)(a)(ix) of the Regulations provides that an applicant who is in a class of persons specified in an instrument in writing will have a nil Visa Application Charge.]
