Part 1 – Preliminary

1  Name

(1)     This instrument is the Migration (LIN 19/041: Payment of Visa Application Charges and Fees in Foreign Currencies) Instrument 2019.

(2)     This instrument may be sited as LIN 19/041.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences 1 July 2019.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under paragraph 5.36(1A)(a) of the Regulations.

4  Definitions

In this instrument:

ISO means International Organization for Standardization.

Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.

VAC means Visa Application Charge.

5  Schedules

The instrument specified in Schedule 2 is repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule has effect according to its terms.

Part 2 – Foreign Currencies

6  Exchange rate for working out the amount of payment of a VAC and fees in foreign currencies

For the exchange rate for a currency in which the amount of a payment of a VAC, other than a VAC mentioned in subregulation 5.36(3A) of the Regulations, or a fee is to be paid, the table in Schedule 1 specifies:

(a)     in Column A - the description of the currency, with the corresponding ISO code in Column B; and

(b)    in Column C - the Exchange Rate for the corresponding currency in Column A.
