Part 1 – Preliminary
1 Name
(1) This instrument is the Migration (LIN 19/034: Fees for Assessment of Qualifications and Experience) Instrument 2019.
(2) This instrument may be cited as LIN 19/034.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences on 1 March 2019.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under subregulation 5.40(1) of the Migration Regulations 1994.
4 Definitions
Note : A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Regulations including:
(i)AUD;
(ii)relevant assessing authority.
In this instrument:
Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.
TRA means Trades Recognition Australia, within the Australian Commonwealth Department of Education and Training.
Note : TRA is specified as a relevant assessing authority by an instrument made under subregulation 2.26B(1) of the Regulations. TRA is the relevant assessing authority for a skilled occupation for the purpose of this instrument.
5 Schedules
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Part 2 – Fees for Assessments of Qualifications and Experience by the relevant assessing authority
6 Fees for Specified Trades Recognition Australia Assessments
For the purposes of paragraphs 5.40(1)(a) and 5.40(1)(b) of the Regulations, the fee payable to Trades Recognition Australia for an assessment type specified in column 1 of the table in this section is the amount specified in column 2 of the table in this section.

For the purposes of paragraph 5.40(1)(c) of the Regulations, the fee payable to Trades Recognition Australia for the internal review of an assessment type specified in column 1 of the table in this section is the amount specified in column 2 of the table in this section.
