Part 1 – Preliminary

1  Name

This instrument is the Migration (IMMI 17/030: Subclass 602 (Medical Treatment) Visa – Approved Form) Instrument 2017. It may be cited as IMMI 17/030.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 1 July 2017.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under subclause 1214A(3A) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations. 

4  Definitions

In this instrument:

Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.

Part 2 – Specified Documentation

5  Specifications for documentation accompanying an application– Subclass 602 (Medical Treatment) Visa

For the purposes of paragraph 1214A(3)(e) of Schedule 1 to the Regulations, the specified documentation that must accompany an application is Form 1507 – Evidence of Intended Medical Treatment (includes consultation) which has been completed and signed by a registered medical practitioner.
