  1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Migration Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 11).

  1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

  1. Amendment of Migration Regulations 1994

(1)Schedule 1 amends the Migration Regulations 1994.

(2)The amendment made by Schedule 1 applies in relation to an application for a visa made on or after commencement of these Regulations.

[1]          Regulation 1.03, definition of migration occupation in demand

substitute

migration occupation in demand, in relation to one or more Classes or Subclasses of visa, means a skilled occupation that is specified by the Minister in an instrument in writing for this definition as a migration occupation in demand (including an occupation that may be described by reference to specified characteristics in the instrument).
