1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Migration Amendment Regulations 2002 (No. 8).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on gazettal.

3Amendment of Migration Regulations 1994

Schedule 1 amends the Migration Regulations 1994.

For paragraph (e) of the definition of excised offshore place in subsection 5 (1) of the Act, the following islands (which form part of Western Australia) are prescribed:

1. (a)

   Bernier Island;

2. (b)

   Dorre Island;

3. (c)

   Dirk Hartog Island;

4. (d)

   Faure Island.
